Sharing Expertise at Catapult Financial Inclusion South-East Asia

Identifying client-level risks linked to digital financial services and how to mitigate those risks.

Catapult Financial Inclusion Southeast Asia is an acceleration program managed by LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology) and designed to empower fintech startups to achieve significant growth and drive innovation.

For the 2024 edition, participating fintechs from Southeast Asia benefited from 37 workshops and over 90 hours of intensive training, guided by 40+ mentors and involving 32 partners from ASEAN fintech associations and Luxembourg stakeholders. Those workshops and trainings were held in Bangkok and in Luxembourg.

Cerise+SPTF was invited in June for the Luxembourg sessions to conduct training and share expertise on responsible financial services. Snezana Jovic, Head of Inclusive Finance, presented Cerise+SPTF's Digital Financial Services (DFS) Standards and the evaluation tool we developed to assess those standards.

The session focused more on identifying client-level risks linked to digital financial services and sharing some best practices on mitigating those risks to put the clients at the center of the business.

In the afternoon, individual coaching sessions were proposed to each of the participating fintechs. Experts from the impact and inclusive finance industry, including Cerise+SPTF expert, listened to each of the impact pitches of the fintechs and provided some feedback to help them refine their impact strategy and objectives.
